For a local election, the turnout of 38% was high, and the 'yes' vote was higher than that on the questionnaire for the neighbourhood development plan two years ago. Of the 'no' votes, one third said 'no' to the precept change but 'yes' to the hall – implying an overall level of support for the village hall of some 85%. The electorate has now done its bit. The next step will be decided by the Parish Council at its meeting in December.
