Past Repton Village Hall Appeal Events
In addition to major donations and money given by the Parish Council
over £60,000 has now been raised through village events.
Thank you to the Appeal Committee, and to everyone who has contributed in any way.
Your input has been so important.
Children's Halloween Party
Saturday 28th October 2017
Tickets sold out within two hours of going on sale, and no wonder, for the children love it - games, fancy dress competition, refreshments, and lots and lots of ghoulish fun! Another great success for Elaine Newbold and her team. So far the party has raised £346 with money from the bar still awaited. Presumably that was spent by the parents - I wonder why!

Saturday 23rd September 2017
Another great evening. All tickets sold out well ahead and the village hall was packed, with lots of excited adults and children too. Lots of pigs were eaten, but none harmed! Thank you so much to everyone involved for all your hard work, particularly Adrian, Kyran, Carol, Frances and Jo, and thank you once again to everyone who came, placed bets, and cheered the pigs on. The event raised £880.
BBQ at the Red Lion, Repton
Saturday 15th July 2017
Children loved the bouncy castle and games, and adults had a chatty evening over burgers and beer, serenaded by Boss and Co. Many thanks to them, to Geoffrey Jumper, to Adrian Argyle and to all who contributed to a very enjoyable event.
Fun Dog Walk
Sunday 11th June 2017
In June families and excited dogs joined up at Broomhills Playing Field for a Fun Dog Walk, a circular walk which brought them back to Broomhills to plunder stalls and refreshments. It was a great morning with the dogs getting good exercise and even the weather helping. Thank you to Jo Bamford for organising a much appreciated fun event that raised nearly £200 for the Appeal.
Afternoon Tea with Charles Hanson
There was bubbly beforehand and a splendid afternoon tea followed, but the main attraction was undoubtedly Charles Hanson, star auctioneer and media personality, who for a good hour, with vibrant energy and charm, held an enrapt audience in the palm of his hand. A memorable and very enjoyable afternoon raised just over £1,000. Thank you to Charles, to Carol Lloyd and to the whole fundraising team.
The Marvellous Machine
Sunday 19th March 2017
Quite Remarkable Productions presented an afternoon of live music, magic and puppetry for 2 - 6 year olds - and their families. It was a great success, selling out well before the event and raising £350 for Repton Village Hall Appeal. Particular thanks to the company, and to Jo Hinton who organised it.
An Evening with Cantata
Saturday 4th March 2017
Thank you to Repton Village Society for arranging another splendid concert by Cantata. With amazing voices and clever harmonies, they brought us songs from West End and Broadway Show, the Rat Pack and Glen Miller, as well as Acapella songs and popular modern melodies. The evening raised just shy of £600.
