During the referendum, Repton Parish Council (RPC) issued and information leaflet separate from that produced by the hall committee as the council were not campaigning. The process was overseen by Derbyshire Associatioon of Local Councils to make sure that the information sheet and voting form produced by the council were fair, neutral and clear.
The result was 77.5% in favour of both motions: ie to support the concept of a new hall AND to pay extra precept to make it happen.
The turnout was 38% which is typical in any local election. The count was overseen by the clerk of RPC.
